Two AGMUT Cadre IPS officers appointed as DDG in BCAS
The Ministry of Home Affairs notified the appointments after the concurrence of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, under which BCAS functions.
Ms. Chandan Chowdhary, IPS: 2010: AGMUT cadre, and Rajendra Prasad Meena, IPS: 2010: AGMUT cadre have been appointed as Deputy Director Generals in the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) for a maximum period of five years or whichever is earlier.
The Ministry of Home Affairs notified the appointments after the concurrence of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, under which BCAS functions.
It's important to note that BCAS is responsible for setting standards and measures for the security of both international and domestic civil flights at airports in India.
