Forum of women in Public sector (WIPS) of RINL was presented with the prestigious recognition award for its significant society-centric measures during COVID.
The Award was presented by Shri Mihir Kanti Mishra, CEO of Bengaluru complex of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) at the southern regional meet of WIPS held at Bangalore, today to Ms. K Sarala, DGM(Telecom) and Ms. N Bhanu, GM(Training) RINL, Visakhapatnam steel plant, the REB committee members(regional executive committee) of WIPS, Southern region, Ms. KUMARI S CHANDRAWATI, Co-coordinator, WIPS & Senior manager(HR) RINL and other women delegates from RINL .
It may be noted that the WIPS team of RINL, Visakhapatnam steel plant has extended help to the needy, destitute, stranded migrant workers, road side vendors, contract workers by way of Stitching and distribution of facemasks, Distribution of groceries, food, Campaigning about COVID precautions/COVID appropriate etiquette, Distribution of books to needy children during pandemic.
It may please be noted that the WIPS under the aegis of standing conference of public enterprises (SCOPE) was formed in the year 1997 in RINL on 9th of August with focus on developing an effective, sustainable and a vibrant network for mutual support and growth, for knowledge building and management, for maximizing the potential of women towards effective decision making in their spheres, for striving towards equal opportunities for development, and the like.
Sri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL congratulated the WIPS wing of RINL for being honoured with yet another coveted prestigious award for their benevolent initiatives for the under privileged and the affected due to the COVID pandemic.
