ACME Solar Commissions 19 MW BESS Phase-I in Rajasthan

New Delhi: ACME Solar Holdings Limited (ASHL) has commissioned the first phase of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Rajasthan.

The company, through its wholly owned subsidiary ACME Suryodaya Private Limited, has operationalized 19 MW / 38 MWh out of the total planned 285 MW / 600 MWh BESS capacity.

The project is located at Village Sanwara and Mehar Nagar, Tehsil Pokhran, District Jaisalmer, Rajasthan — a region emerging as a renewable energy hub.

 

Commercial Operation from February 27, 2026

The Commercial Operation Date (COD) for Phase-I has been declared as February 27, 2026.

Initially, the commissioned capacity will operate under a merchant model, allowing the company flexibility to transition into a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) at a later stage.

Strengthening India’s Energy Storage Ecosystem

With growing renewable penetration, battery storage plays a crucial role in grid stability and peak demand management. This commissioning marks a significant step in ACME Solar’s strategy to expand its integrated renewable and storage portfolio.
