NTPC Green Energy Adds 50 MW in Gujarat, Total Capacity Reaches 9,201.08 MW

New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has officially declared commercial operation of the first 50 MW capacity under its 200 MW Dayapar Wind Energy Project Phase-II in Gujarat. The project is being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL.

The newly commissioned 50 MW capacity has been declared commercially operational with effect from 00:00 hrs on February 26, 2026.

NTPC Green Energy Capacity Crosses 9.2 GW Milestone

With this addition, the total commercial capacity of the NGEL Group has increased from 9,151.08 MW to 9,201.08 MW, reinforcing its position as one of India’s fastest-growing renewable energy players.

The Dayapar Wind Energy Project Phase-II is located in Gujarat, one of India’s leading wind energy hubs, known for strong wind corridors and renewable infrastructure development.

Strategic Expansion in Renewable Energy

This capacity addition aligns with NGEL’s aggressive renewable energy expansion strategy and strengthens the renewable portfolio of its parent company, NTPC Limited.
