New Delhi, January 15: State-owned Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) has invited bids for the Transmission Line Package TL02 under the Raigarh (Tamnar)–Jamshedpur (new) 765 kV double-circuit transmission line project, a key component of the WR–ER Inter-Regional Network Expansion Scheme – Part A.

The project will be implemented through the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route and is aimed at strengthening power transfer capacity between the western and eastern regions.

According to the tender document, the package covers Part-II of the 765 kV D/C transmission line, with bids being invited through Power Grid’s PRANIT e-tendering portal. The corresponding RFX number is 5002005020.

The tender was published on January 15, 2026, and the sale of bid documents will remain open until February 10, 2026. Interested bidders can submit their online bids up to 11:00 am on February 12, 2026, with bid opening scheduled for 11:30 am the same day.

The tender carries a non-refundable fee of ₹25,000, while no earnest money deposit (EMD) has been specified. The project falls under the power and energy sector, with execution located primarily in Jharkhand.

The tender has been issued as an open works contract, inviting participation from eligible transmission infrastructure developers. Saurabh Chakrawarti, Manager, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, is the tender-inviting authority.

The project is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing grid reliability and facilitating large-scale power evacuation across regions.
