Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB / BL) from a recognised Indian university

First Class for General candidates (Pass Class for PwBD candidates)

Experience Requirements
Assistant Manager (Legal)

4–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience
-
Knowledge of customs clearance procedures at airports and seaports

Expertise in classification of goods for duty rates
-
Familiarity with Foreign Trade Policy, Free Trade Agreements, SEZ rules
-
Experience in legal drafting, appeals, and tribunal/court representation
Deputy Manager (Legal)
-
8–9 years of relevant experience
-
Strong expertise in customs duties, trade policy, anti-dumping duties and cross-border supply chains

Experience in tax planning and compliance
-
Ability to draft legal notices, appeals and written submissions

Court representation experience before tribunals and regulatory authorities
Selection Process
The selection process includes:

Written Test – 85 marks
-
Interview – 15 marks
Candidates will first be shortlisted for the written examination. Those who qualify will be shortlisted for interviews in a 1:7 ratio.
Minimum qualifying marks:

35% for General candidates
-
30% for PwBD candidates
The written test will be conducted only in Bengaluru.
