REC Ltd arm hands over SPV for Rajasthan Power Transmission Ltd to Adani Energy Solutions Ltd
REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a subsidiary of REC Limited under the Ministry of Power, handed over the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the Rajasthan Part I Power Transmission Limited project to Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL).
The handover marks India’s first High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission project awarded to the private sector through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process.
"The Rs 22,700 crore project involves the establishment of two HVDC terminal stations, each with a capacity of 6,000 MW, at Bhadla in Rajasthan and Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh.
The project also includes a +800 kV HVDC line spanning 955 km and associated works. It will be developed on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis and implemented over 54 months.

RECPDCL CEO T.S.C. Bosh handed over the SPV to Adani Energy Solutions Limited Chief Business Development Officer Sanjay Arvind Johari. Senior officials from RECPDCL, AESL, and Central Transmission Utility of India Limited were present at the ceremony.
