Asheesh Joshi Completes BPCL Directorship Linked to MoP&NG Tenure
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited announces completion of directorship of Shri Asheesh Joshi, co-terminus with his Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas tenure, effective 1 December 2025.

Mumbai, December 2, 2025 – Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a leading public sector oil company, has announced the completion of the directorship tenure of Shri Asheesh Joshi. His term ended on 1 December 2025, following the conclusion of his central deputation with the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoP&NG).
Shri Joshi had been nominated to the BPCL Board on 19 June 2025 for a period co-terminus with his tenure at the Ministry. His directorship was thus linked to his role as Joint Secretary, MoP&NG. With his central deputation concluded, his directorship at BPCL also formally ended.
BPCL’s Company Secretary, V. Kala, confirmed the update in communications sent to both the BSE and NSE, noting that the information has been recorded in line with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
BPCL, headquartered in Mumbai, continues to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements while managing changes in its board composition as part of corporate governance best practices.

Shri Asheesh Joshi is an IAS Officer of 2006 batch belonging to Uttarakhand Cadre. Shri Asheesh Joshi was Secretary (Additional Charge) of Drinking Water & Sanitation Department, Govt. of Uttarakhand prior to his posting in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
He possesses rich experience of holding the position of District Magistrate and working at Senior Position in various Departments such as Housing, Home, Agriculture, Finance, Land Revenue, Planning, Energy, Tourism and Rural Development in the Govt. of Uttarakhand
