Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi visits training institute of Geological Survey of India
Hyderabad: Union Coal Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi visited the training institute of Geological Survey of India, in Hyderabad today on August 25, 2022. He reviewed the institute's operations and held a brief interaction with trainees.
He further took stock of their feedback and advised Institute officials to offer all-possible help to the trainees.
While at the institute, also visited the rock sample area and deliberated on the ongoing projects. The Minister also planted a tree in the institute campus and emphasised on sustainability measures.
The Geological Survey of India is the third oldest survey organization in the World, that promotes capacity building by turning out thoroughbred professionals, specialists, and fundamental researchers in all fields of geosciences and allied areas both within the department and outside. The GSI has been training all its newly recruited geologists through orientation courses by imparting field training at many of its field centers distributed across the country covering the mighty Himalaya, Aravalli, picturesque Gondwana, and eastern, northern, central, western southern and northeastern India.
