THDCIL Observes Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 with Swachhata Pledge

Rishikesh, 17 September 2025: THDC India Limited, a leading Power Sector PSU, is proactively participating in the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2025 (SHS 2025) being organised from 17th September to 2nd October 2025. This year’s campaign, themed "Swachhotsav," aims to promote clean and green festivities and zero-waste community celebrations. 

Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDCIL, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to the campaign, stating that the Swachhata Hi Seva fortnight is observed as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi in the run-up to Swachh Bharat Diwas on 2nd October. He highlighted that the campaign provides an opportunity to strengthen voluntarism and collective action for Swachh Bharat, while also setting new benchmarks for eco-friendly and zero-waste community celebrations. He emphasised that THDCIL, through its projects and offices, will continue to actively mobilise employees and stakeholders for cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns, and citizen participation in line with the National Vision of a Cleaner and Greener India.

Sh. Sipan Kumar Garg, Director (Finance), administered the Swachhata Pledge to employees at the Corporate Office in Rishikesh. He emphasised the importance of individual responsibility in maintaining cleanliness and urged everyone to actively encourage and motivate those around them to contribute towards a cleaner and more prosperous India.

He also appealed to employees to dedicate one hour of voluntary swachhata service as part of the nationwide ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ Shramdaan to be observed on 25th September 2025. Swachhata Pledge ceremonies were also conducted simultaneously across all projects and offices of THDCIL.

The programme at Corporate Office, Rishikesh, was attended by Dr. Amar Nath Tripathy, CGM (HR-Admin, CC), Sh. A. K. Goel, CGM (MPS & Planning), Sh. A. K. Garg, GM (Finance), Sh. M. K. Rai, GM (Procurement), Sh. Harsh Kumar Jindal, GM (S&E), Sh. R. K. Verma, GM(Commercial) and other senior officials of THDCIL.
