New Delhi: Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 from 27th October to 2nd November with a series of engaging and insightful activities organized across its Headquarters and all three Units - Barauni, Gorakhpur, and Sindri. The observance aimed to promote integrity, transparency, and accountability across all levels of the organization, in alignment with this year’s theme, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”
At HURL Headquarters, Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty, Managing Director, administered the Integrity Pledge to employees, inspiring them to uphold ethical conduct in both personal and professional spheres. The event emphasized that true vigilance begins with individual action and collective responsibility.
To reinforce awareness, a Vigilance Awareness Quiz Competition and Training Session on Preventive Vigilance were conducted. The training, joined virtually by all three Units, was led by a distinguished vigilance expert who shared insights on ethics, accountability, and transparency in governance. The session encouraged participants to practice proactive vigilance in everyday operations.
At the Unit level, Prabhat Pheris (morning awareness marches) were organized at Barauni, Gorakhpur, and Sindri, where employees and school students participated enthusiastically, carrying placards and raising slogans to spread the message of honesty, integrity, and zero tolerance towards corruption.
Additionally, Slogan Writing and Essay Competitions were held to engage employees creatively and foster awareness about the importance of ethical behavior and good governance.
A Vendor Meet Session, chaired by the VP (C&M), was also organized, connecting over 70 vendors across all HURL locations. The session encouraged open dialogue, transparent collaboration, and a shared commitment to ethical business practices.
The week-long observance reaffirmed HURL’s dedication to building a transparent, responsible, and integrity-driven organization, where every employee and stakeholder plays an active role in strengthening the culture of good governance.
