DVC Signs Long-Term Agreement to Supply 300 MW Power to Karnataka DISCOMs

New Delhi: In a major step towards strengthening inter-state power cooperation, Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to supply 300 MW of round-the-clock thermal power to Karnataka’s five electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs). The agreement was signed today at the headquarters of the Power Company of Karnataka Limited (PCKL) in Bengaluru.

The power will be sourced from DVC’s upcoming Koderma Thermal Power Station Phase-II (2x800 MW). This new agreement adds to the existing 450 MW RTC power that Karnataka DISCOMs already receive from DVC.
