HAL Gets DAC Nod for Advanced Light Helicopters in Rs 1.10 Lakh Cr Defence Package

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) informs exchanges that Defence Acquisition Council has accorded Acceptance of Necessity for Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH). Overall DAC approvals total about Rs 1.10 lakh crore; 98% from Indian industry.

Bengaluru, 8 September 2026: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has informed the stock exchanges that the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) has accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) for the procurement of Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH).

The overall capital acquisition proposals cleared by the DAC on 7 September 2026 under the chairmanship of Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh are estimated at about Rs 1,10,000 crore. Approximately 98% of the procurements will be sourced from the Indian industry.

 

Advanced Light Helicopters

The ALHs will be used by the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force to execute complex missions across all terrains and operational situations.
