Indian Oil assures for good quality fuel amid concerns cited on social media

In a significant step towards fuel quality, the state-run oil firm Indian Oil has taken note of recent concerns being expressed on social media. The Oil PSU, IOCL, wishes to reassure its customers that ensuring the quality of fuel supplied through its retail outlets remains one of the corporation's highest priorities.

According to the statement issued by the company, fuel quality is a matter of utmost importance for IndianOil. Every day, our teams work across the country to ensure that customers receive fuel that meets all prescribed quality standards. Regular inspections, surprise checks, and scientific testing are carried out as part of a rigorous quality assurance system.

In the last few weeks, Indian Oil has carried out nearly 10,000 surprise inspections across its retail outlets, conducted more than 8500 quality tests, and deployed hundreds of special inspection teams to independently verify compliance with quality standards.

The oil refiner PSU follows a zero-tolerance policy towards any compromise in fuel quality. If any instance of adulteration, contamination, or violation of prescribed quality norms is detected during inspections or established through customer complaints, strict action is taken against the concerned dealer in accordance with the applicable guidelines and contractual provisions.

Customers are encouraged to immediately report any concern relating to fuel quality at the retail outlet or through Indian Oil's customer care channels rather than being influenced by unverified social media posts. Every complaint is investigated promptly through a transparent and well-defined process.
