Vinod Kumar Gupta Given Additional Charge as MD of KMRCL

Ministry of Railways has entrusted the additional charge of Managing Director, Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (KMRCL) to Shri Vinod Kumar Gupta, IRSE, PCE, Metro Railway, Kolkata, with effect from the date of assumption of charge.

New Delhi, September 4, 2026: The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) has decided to entrust the additional charge of the post of Managing Director, Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (KMRCL) to Shri Vinod Kumar Gupta.

  • Officer: Shri Vinod Kumar Gupta, IRSE

  • Present Post: Principal Chief Engineer (PCE), Metro Railway, Kolkata

  • New Responsibility: Additional charge of Managing Director, KMRCL

  • Effective From: Date of assumption of charge of the post

  • Duration: Until further orders (pending approval of the Competent Authority)

The order was issued vide letter No. 2018/E(O)II/40/17 dated 2 September 2026. KMRCL has been asked to intimate the date of assumption of charge to the Ministry.

Copies of the order have been marked to the General Manager, Metro Railway, Kolkata, senior officials in the Railway Board, and the Department of Personnel & Training.
