Railway Board Extends Atul Kumar’s DFCCIL Deputation Till September 2027
New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways has approved the extension of deputation tenure of Atul Kumar, IRSE, formerly ADRM/DDU, East Central Railway (ECR), with the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd. (DFCCIL).
As per the Railway Board order, Atul Kumar’s deputation as CGM/CO/DDU, DFCCIL has been extended for the 4th and 5th year, up to September 1, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The extension is subject to exemption of DFCCIL from the rule of immediate absorption.

Atul Kumar’s Deputation Extended
The Railway Board communicated the sanction of the competent authority for extending Atul Kumar’s deputation tenure with DFCCIL. The extension covers the fourth and fifth years of his deputation and continues on the existing terms and conditions.
The order refers to the Ministry of Railways’ earlier letter dated September 14, 2022.
Railway Board Issues Directions on Repatriation
The order also states that if the officer does not return to Railway service within one month of completion of the deputation tenure, it will be deemed that he has resigned from Railway service.
At the time of repatriation, the concerned authorities have been directed to forward the officer’s vigilance position/clearance for the deputation period along with the relieving order.
DFCCIL Deputation Continues
With the approved extension, Atul Kumar will continue in his DFCCIL assignment as CGM/CO/DDU up to September 1, 2027, unless further orders are issued earlier.
