Mumbai, Ircon International Limited has received a significant contract from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for Package-2 of Line-6 of the Mumbai Metro Rail Project. The work includes designing, supplying, installing, integrating, testing, and commissioning power supply and traction systems, electrical and mechanical works, lifts, and escalators.

This project involves the metro corridor that connects Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli (Eastern Express Highway). It also includes five years of maintenance after a two-year defect liability period.

Key contract details:

Project Value: Rs 642.44 crore and Euro 2.78 million (including all duties except GST and Customs)

Execution Timeline: 104 weeks for the building phase, followed by a two-year defect liability and five years of maintenance

Contract Nature: Domestic works order under routine business operations

Awarding Authority: MMRDA

This contract enhances Ircon’s presence in urban transport infrastructure and confirms its role in supporting India’s metro development.
