New Delhi: National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) observed the Annual Mines Safety Fortnight 2025 with significant safety and operational upgrades at its Angul operations. Shri B.P. Singh, CMD, accompanied by Shri P.K. Sharma, Director (Production), and Dr. T.K. Pattanayak, Director (HR), visited the Smelter & Power Complex at Angul, Odisha, to review ongoing safety initiatives.

During the visit, the leadership released updated Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) and Codes of Practice (CoPs) for the Utkal D & E Coal Mines, reaffirming the company’s focus on safe and sustainable mining. The revised documents aim to enhance operational discipline, strengthen regulatory compliance, and improve workforce safety across mining operations.

 

As part of the safety initiatives, the renovated First Aid Centre at the Captive Power Plant was inaugurated, offering improved medical response capabilities and updated emergency care facilities.

NALCO remains committed to fostering a culture of safety, responsibility, and operational excellence across all its units.
