Chennai, February 20, 2026: NLC India Limited has raised ₹300 crore through the issuance of Commercial Papers (CPs), according to a regulatory filing made with the stock exchanges on Thursday.

The company informed both the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and BSE Limited (BSE) under Regulations 30 and 51 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

As per the disclosure, NLC India issued and allotted 6,000 Commercial Papers, each having a face value of ₹5,00,000. The total issue size aggregates to ₹300 crore, comprising ₹250 crore and ₹50 crore tranches. The allotment was completed on February 20, 2026.

Commercial Papers are short-term debt instruments used by companies to meet working capital requirements and manage short-term liquidity.

NLC India Limited is a ‘Navratna’ Government of India enterprise engaged in lignite mining and power generation. The company is headquartered in Chennai and operates major facilities in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu.

The disclosure was signed by the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of NLC India Limited.
