No Candidate Recommended for SJVN Chairman in PESB Meeting
PESB, in its 112th meeting on 5 Dec 2025, interviewed candidates for CMD of SJVN Limited but did not recommend any. Ministry advised on further selection action.
New Delhi: During the 112th meeting of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) held on 5th December 2025 at 03:45 PM, the applicants for the post of Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN Limited (Schedule A) were reviewed. The candidates interviewed included Shri Prem Prakash Srivastava, Senior General Manager (HR/A), UP (West) Circle, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, and Shri Ali Shah, Executive Director (Entity Appraisal-II, Learning & Development and Rajbhasha), Power Finance Corporation Limited.
The Board, however, did not recommend any candidate for the post. It advised the Administrative Ministry/Department to determine a suitable course of further action for selection. This may include constituting a Search cum Selection Committee (SCSC) or following any other method deemed appropriate, with the approval of the competent authority, to ensure the selection process moves forward effectively.
