NTPC's Power Management Institute Holds Programme on Electricity (Power) Markets

Mumbai: A certificate programme on Electricity (Power) Markets in collaboration with IIT-Roorkee was conducted by Power Management Institute (PMI) from 31st July to 2nd August in which 42 employees from various departments and stations participated.

Addressing the inaugural session, Ms Renu Narang, CEO, NVVN highlighted the importance of electricity market in India.

She mentioned that several new programmes have been conducted by PMI as part of capacity building initiatives and developing preparedness for NTPC for the challenges and opportunities in the sector.

The programme included 13 sessions covering various aspects of electricity (power) markets in India, US, Australia, Europe by eminent speakers including Shri Sushanta Chatterjee (CERC), Shri Michael Hogan and Shri Dominic Scott (Regulatory Assistance project), Ms Neha Patankar (State Univ. of New York) and Shri Abhishek Ranjan (ReNew Power) among others.

Shri S K Soonee, Former CEO of, POSOCO and Ms Rachana Singh Bhal, Head (PMI) graced the Valedictory session and gave away certificates to the participants.
