NTPC Renewable Energy emerges as successful bidder in auction tendered by SECI
New Delhi: NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has emerged as the successful bidder in the e-reverse auction conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) on August 4, 2025 for the full capacity of 70,000 metric tonnes per annum (MT/Year) of Green Ammonia.
This is part of SECI's larger tender for a total of 7.24 lakh MT/Year of Green Ammonia, spread across 13 locations in India. The e-reverse auction was scheduled for supply of 70,000 MT/Year of Green Ammonia to Krishana Phos-chem Limited, located in Meghnagar, Madhya Pradesh. NTPC REL has secured this capacity @ Rs. 51.80 per kg.

Further, according to the exchange filing, it is to inform that consequent upon successful commissioning, part capacity of 75 MW (Lot-5) (cumulative 300 MW) out of total 500 MW plant capacity of IRCON Renewable Power Limited (IRPL), a joint venture of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited is declared on Commercial Operation w.e.f. 00:00 Hrs. of 06.08.2025.
Shares of NTPC Green Energy Ltd are closed at Rs 105.56, higher by 0.45% at BSE.
