ONGC Eastern Offshore Organises DGMS Workshop on Workplace Safety
Kakinada, July 11, 2026: State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has organised a safety workshop at its Eastern Offshore Asset in Kakinada to promote innovative safety practices and reinforce compliance with the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (OSH) Code, 2020.
Held on July 10 under the aegis of the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS), the workshop brought together senior officials, safety experts and field personnel to strengthen workplace safety standards across ONGC's offshore operations.
The programme was attended by Director of Mines Safety Ashok Kumar, senior DGMS officials, and senior executives and operational personnel from ONGC's Eastern Offshore Asset.
The workshop focused on enhancing awareness of modern safety practices, regulatory compliance and continuous learning to create a safer working environment in the oil and gas sector.
As part of the visit, the DGMS delegation inspected ONGC's Life of Field Services Facility, Fire Safety Display-cum-Training Centre, and the Odalarevu Onshore Terminal. The interactions provided an opportunity to review safety infrastructure, engage with employees and exchange best practices for improving operational safety.
ONGC said the initiative reflects its continued commitment to fostering a strong safety culture through collaboration with regulatory authorities and continuous skill development. The workshop also reaffirmed the shared commitment of ONGC and DGMS to enhancing safety excellence across India's oil and gas industry.
