Rajahmundry, July 9, 2026: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has organized a safety workshop at its Rajahmundry Asset to promote safer operations and strengthen compliance with the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (OSH) Code, 2020.

The workshop was held under the guidance of the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) and brought together government officials, industry experts, and representatives from leading public and private sector energy companies.

The event was attended by Deputy Director General of Mines Safety T. R. Kannan, senior DGMS officials, senior officers from ONGC Rajahmundry Asset, and representatives from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), GAIL (India) Limited, and Antelopus Selan Energy Limited.

During the workshop, participants discussed the latest safety practices, regulatory requirements, and ways to improve workplace safety across oil and gas operations. The discussions focused on adopting better safety systems, sharing industry knowledge, and encouraging cooperation between companies to reduce operational risks.

ONGC said the workshop highlighted the importance of continuous learning and collaboration in building a strong safety culture. The company believes that sharing best practices and following safety regulations can help create safer working environments for employees across the energy sector.

The programme also reinforced the industry's collective commitment to maintaining high safety standards while ensuring compliance with the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020.
