ONGC Submits Share Dematerialization Compliance Certificate for Q1 FY27

Mumbai: Energy major Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has officially filed its compliance certificate under Regulation 74(5) of the SEBI (Depositories and Participants) Regulations, 2018, for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026.

The corporate announcement, dated July 3, 2026, was issued from the company’s secretariat in Vasant Kunj and dispatched directly to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE), BSE Limited, the National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL), and the Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL).

Key Regulatory Confirmations

The formal submission follows a validation review provided by ONGC’s designated Registrar and Share Transfer Agent (RTA), M/s Alankit Assignments Limited, in an internal confirmation letter dated July 1, 2026. Signed by Kamal Garg, General Manager at Alankit Assignments, the document certifies the processing of physical stock tokens traded during the April–June 2026 quarter.

The regulatory update verifies two principal compliance checkpoints under the SEBI framework:

  • Exchange Inclusion Continuity: All equity shares and underlying securities detailed in the incoming dematerialization certificates maintain full active listing clearance on the stock exchanges where ONGC's base equities are traded (BSE Security Code: 500312; NSE Symbol: ONGC).

  • Mutilation and Registry Update: Physical certificates submitted by investors for electronic conversion underwent structural verification, cancellation, and immediate mutilation. Concurrently, the RTA substituted the electronic depository platforms as the new official registered owners across its institutional ledger systems.

This standard documentation assures market participants that physical equity transitions match the central clearing accounts of both national depositories.
