POWERGRID conferred 4 Gold Shields in the National Awards for Meritorious Performance in Power Sector for 2011-12 & 2012-13 + Power grid Award Photo

NEW DELHI .   Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (POWERGRID) has been conferred four Gold Shields and one Silver Shield in the National Awards for Meritorious Performance in Power Sector for 2011-12 & 2012-13.  Union  Minister of State for Power (I/c) Shri Jyotiradiya Scindia presented the awards to POWERGRID officials at a function in New Delhi. 

 

POWERGRID’s three transmission systems have been bestowed with Gold Shield: Eastern Region Transmission System – I (220 kV &above) & North Eastern Region Transmission System (132 kV & above) for ‘Transmission System Availability’ for the year 2011-12 and Mauda – Wardha 400 kV, D/C line (Quad) for ‘Early Completion of Transmission Project’ for the year 2012-13. POWEGRID also bagged Gold Shield for “Transmission System Availability’ for the year 2012-13. In addition, Western Region Transmission System -I bagged the Silver Shield for ‘Transmission System Availability’ for the year 2011-12.
