POWERGRID Commissions 400 kV Maharani Bagh–Narela Line, Strengthening Delhi NCR Power Network
POWERGRID has commissioned the 400 kV Maharani Bagh–Narela Multi-Circuit Transmission Line, strengthening Delhi NCR’s power reliability. The upgrade will ease network load and support uninterrupted electricity supply across the region.
POWERGRID has successfully energised the 400 kV Maharani Bagh–Narela Multi-Circuit Transmission Line, marking a key upgrade to Delhi NCR’s electricity network and strengthening power reliability across the region.
The line was charged in the presence of Rajeev Verma, Chief Secretary, Government of NCT of Delhi; Dr R. K. Tyagi, CMD, POWERGRID; G. Ravisankar, Director (Finance); Naveen Srivastava, Director (Operations); Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, Director (Projects); and Alok Kumar Sharma, ED, NR-I, along with other senior officials.
The project will help reduce load on existing transmission corridors, improve system stability and ensure uninterrupted supply during peak demand. With this milestone, POWERGRID continues to expand and modernise the region’s transmission infrastructure, supporting Delhi NCR’s growing energy needs.
