POWERGRID Q2 profit rises 10% at Rs. 1239 crore.

Mumbai,   Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has posted a net profit of Rs.1239crore for the second quarter of FY 2013-14 (July-September, 2013), an increase of 10% against Rs. 1126 crore reported during the corresponding quarter ended September 30, 2012.

 

Total Income (turnover) for second quarter (July-September, 2013), rose to Rs. 4104 crore, up by 27% from Rs. 3243 crore in the corresponding quarter ended September 30, 2012.

 

At present, POWERGRID is operating more than 102,100 ckt. kms. of transmission lines along with 172 Sub-stations and transforma¬tion capacity of about 172,370 MVA with an Inter-Regional power transmission capacity of about 31,850MW.
