Senior Government Officials Visit NHPC’s Uri Power Station in J&K
Shri Anupam Prasad, Chairman, Central Water Commission and ex-officio Secretary to the Government of India, along with Shri Darpan Talwar, Indus Commissioner, visited NHPC’s Uri Power Station on 9th and 10th July 2026.
Upon arrival, the dignitaries were welcomed by Shri K. Vaidishwaran, Head of the Power Station. During the visit, they inspected the Gingle Colony, Power House complex, and Barrage area. They closely observed various operational activities and received a detailed briefing on the station’s performance, power generation capacity, and overall operational efficiency.
