Sh. Akhileshwar Singh began his career in Hindustan Paper Corporation Limited and joined SJVN as Sr. Officer (Finance) in 1993. On 6 January 2020, Sh. Singh assumed the charge of Director (Finance).

SJVN bid a warm farewell to Sh. Akhileshwar Singh, Director (Finance), in a function held at its Corporate Headquarters, Shimla. The event was graced by Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), Sh. Chandra Shekhar Yadav, ED(HR), along with senior officials and employees of SJVN family, conveyed their best wishes to Sh. Akhileshwar Singh for his future endeavors.

Sh. Akhileshwar Singh began his career in Hindustan Paper Corporation Limited and joined SJVN as Sr. Officer (Finance) in 1993. On 6 January 2020, Sh. Singh assumed the charge of Director (Finance).

During his tenure as Director (Finance), SJVN experienced unprecedented growth in its CapEx—furthermore, Sh. Singh's strong grasp of SEBI regulations and market analysis significantly boosted SJVN's share price from Rs 24.09 in 2019 to ?170 in 2024.

SJVN expanded its renewable portfolio to 28,240 MW under the leadership of Sh. Singh is the Director in charge of Renewable Business. This included commissioning five major solar projects between 2022 and 2025, namely 75 MW Parasan Solar Power Station, 75 MW Gurah Solar Power Station, 50 MW Gujrai Solar Power Station in Uttar Pradesh, 100 MW Raghanseda Solar Power Station in Gujarat and 90 MW Omkareshwar.

Solar Power Station in Madhya Pradesh. As Head of SJVN's Renewable Energy Implementing Agency (REIA), he worked tirelessly to achieve the 12.5 GW target, resulting in the awarding of 1.5 GW solar projects in November 2023. Additional projects of 1.5 GW (Hybrid) and 1.5 GW solar are nearing the awards stage.
