SJVN organized grand farewell in honour of Sh. Alok Kumar (IAS), Former Secy Power

Shimla: Team SJVN headed by Chairman & Managing Director, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma organized a grand farewell in honour of Sh. Alok Kumar (IAS), Former Secretary (Power), Government of India at Corporate Headquarters, Shimla. Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, who also holds the charge of Chairman, BBMB honoured Sh. Alok Kumar on behalf of BBMB along with other senior officers. 

On this occasion Sh. Nand Lal Sharma told about the illustrious career of Sh. Alok Kumar, a 1988 batch IAS Officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He further said that outstanding services rendered by him as Secretary (Power) will always be fondly remembered by the Power Sector fraternity. Under his dynamic leadership the Power Sector of India underwent a complete transformation. His contributions to the Power Sector and especially Hydro Sector in the overall nation's development have been immense and highly commendable.

Sh. Alok Kumar conveyed his appreciation for the warm farewell to Sh. Nand Lal Sharma Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN and Chairman, BBMB. He further said that under the visionary leadership of Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, SJVN is progressing leap & bounds and conveyed his best wishes for attainment of Shared Vision of SJVN i.e. becoming 25000 MW Company by 2030 & 50000 MW Company by 2040.

Sh. Kumar further said that under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi & able guidance of Union Power Minister, Sh. R.K. Singh the Power sector has transformed and with this growth ,We will soon be able to provide 24X7 power to all.

The ceremony was attended by Smt. Geeta Kapur, Director (Personnel), SJVN, Sh. A.K. Singh, Director (Finance), SJVN, Sh. Sushil Sharma, Director (Electrical), SJVN, Sh. Amarjit Singh Juneja, Member (Power), BBMB, Sh. J.S. Kahlon, Financial Adviser & C.A.O, BBMB, Sh. Vipin Gupta, Chief Engineer, BBMB, Sh. Satish Singla, Secretary, BBMB and other senior officers of SJVN & BBMB.
