Valedictory Function of NLCIL- NPTI collaborative power plant engineering program & placement offers awarding ceremony
This training program aimed to enhance the employability of candidates from project-affected families and unemployed youth from Cuddalore District by providing them with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the power sector.

New Delhi: NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Coal, celebrated the successful completion of the National Power Training Institute (NPTI) “Power Plant Engineering Program” with a Valedictory Function and “Placement Offers” awarding ceremony on 31.01.2025 at the Auditorium of Learning & Development Centre, Neyveli.
The “Power Plant Engineering Program” was conducted as part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between NLCIL and the NPTI on October 27, 2023. NLCIL had allocated Rs. 94.70 lakhs towards this program. This training program aimed to enhance the employability of candidates from project-affected families and unemployed youth from Cuddalore District by providing them with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the power sector.
37 candidates from Project Affected Families (PAFs) & unemployed youth from Cuddalore District who had completed the Post Diploma & Post Graduate Diploma Course in Power Plant Engineering were awarded certificates. Also, Placement offers from various leading power sector companies were awarded to the successful candidates at today’s function. Chairman and Managing Director, NLCIL Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Principal Director, NPTI (SR) Neyveli Dr. S. Selvam, along with Functional Directors & CVO of NLCIL, presented the Placement Offers to the successful candidates.

NPTI Principal Director Dr. S. Selvam, in his thematic address, explained the details of the program, highlighting the mutual benefits for both organizations. Chairman and Managing Director, NLCIL, Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, in his Chief Guest address, emphasized NLCIL’s commitment towards Corporate Social Responsibility, Skill Development and Community Development. He also advised the candidates, “to work hard to achieve the destination and to be loyal to the organization where they have been placed for inclusive growth.”

The event was attended by Senior Officials of NLCIL and NPTI.
This achievement is a result of NLCIL’s collaborative efforts with NPTI, and it is believed that this partnership will further empower more individuals from project-affected families of Cuddalore District.
