WCL Director (HR) Dr. Hemant Sharad Pandey felicitated by VNIT, Nagpur

Nagpur, 5 August 2025: WCL Director (HR) Dr. Hemant Sharad Pandey and MECL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Shri Indra Dev Narayan were felicitated by VNIT Director Prof. Premlal Patel during a special felicitation ceremony at VNIT, Nagpur today for their outstanding contribution in the mining and human resources sector and outstanding services rendered to public sector undertakings.

Dr. Hemant Sharad Pandey completed his B.Tech from the VNIT Mining Engineering Department in 1989 while Shri Indra Dev Narayan was a student of 1990 batch. During the felicitation ceremony, Dr. Pandey got emotional and recalled his college days and thanked VNIT for this honour and said that “this honour is a priceless treasure of his life.”

VNIT Director Prof. Premlal Patel, Head of Mining Engineering Department Dr. A.K. Agrawal, former Head of Department Prof. I.L. Muthreja, faculty members Dr. Anupam Kher, Mr. Rajendra Yerpude, Mr. Niranjan Thore, other professors, staff members, alumni, VNIT Alumni Association President Mr. Shashikant Chaudhary and Executive Director Mr. Joginder Singh Sondh and many dignitaries were present.
