WCL issued LOA to Vensar Construction for commissioning Valni underground mine
New Delhi: WCL is continuously working to meet the coal requirements of the country. Another important step has now been taken by WCL in this direction. The Letter of Award has been issued by WCL to Vensar Construction Company Limited for the commissioning, rehabilitation, development and operation of the Valni underground mine.
This contract has been done for 25 years and the total coal production proposed under it will be 6.05 million tonnes. This contract has been made on a revenue-sharing basis. This is WCL's first contract of its kind and Coal India Limited's third contract.
Today, Chairman-cum-Managing Director Mr Manoj Kumar, LOI of Vensar Construction Company Limited, Mr B.K. Handed over to P. Singh. He expressed hope that the work in the Valni mine would start soon and this mine would play an important role in meeting the coal requirements of the nation. On this occasion, the Director of Technical (Operations) of WCL Mr J.K. P. Dwivedi, and the Director of Technical (Planning & Project) Mr A. Of. Singh, Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Mukesh Kumar Mishra, Technical Secretary to Chairman cum Managing Director Shri Tarun Kumar Srivastava, and General Manager (CMC) Shri A.K. P. Singh were specially present.
It may be noted that the Ministry of Coal launched a special campaign, for the Government of India to fulfil the coal requirements of the country. In this direction, WCL has given its meaningful participation by issuing this LOA.
