CPCL shares rise, declares Record Date for Final Dividend payment for FY25
In April, 2025, the CPCL’s Board of Directors have recommended a final equity dividend of Rs. 5/- per share (i.e.@ 50% on the paid-up equity share capital) for the financial year 2024-25.
New Delhi: Indian Oil’s subsidiary, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) shares have gained in a consecutive sixth session of Friday’s Trading as the company has fixed the Record Date for the purpose of Final Dividend for the 2024-25 financial year.
In April, 2025, the CPCL’s Board of Directors have recommended a final equity dividend of Rs. 5/- per share (i.e.@ 50% on the paid-up equity share capital) for the financial year 2024-25, subject to the approval of the members of the Company in the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Company.
In an exchange filing, the Company has fixed Friday, the 01st August, 2025 as the “Record date” for the purpose of ascertaining the eligibility of members for payment of final equity dividend of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five Only) per equity share on the face value of Rs. 10/- each for the year 2024-25.
The final dividend, if approved by the members in the forthcoming AGM, will be paid to the eligible members within the stipulated period of 30 days from the date of AGM. Members may note that the Income Tax Act, 1961, as amended by the Finance Act, 2020, mandates that dividends paid or distributed by a company is taxable in the hands of members, the company added.
Further the Company shall be required to deduct tax at source (“TDS”) at the time of making the payment of dividend. In order to enable the Company to determine the applicable TDS rate, members are requested to submit the relevant documents on or before Wednesday, the 13th August, 2025.
Currently, the shares of CPCL are trading higher by 0.33% at Rs 749.70 at BSE.
