New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has released an official recruitment notification for 51 temporary positions at its Kotdwara Unit and project locations across India. Reservation benefits will be applicable as per Government of India norms for candidates belonging to UR, EWS, OBC, SC, ST, and PwBD categories.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for Trainee Engineer-I must possess a full-time B.E., B.Tech, or B.Sc Engineering degree (4 years) in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. For Trainee Officer-I, applicants must hold a full-time MBA in Finance or M.Com degree. The maximum age limit is 28 years as of January 1, 2026 for General and EWS candidates, with age relaxation of 3 years for OBC-NCL, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwBD candidates as per government rules.
Salary Structure and Benefits
Selected candidates will receive a consolidated salary of ₹30,000 per month in the first year, ₹35,000 in the second year, and ₹40,000 in the third year (if contract is extended). In addition, BEL will provide ₹12,000 per year towards insurance, uniform, and other allowances, along with medical and life insurance coverage. Candidates posted outside Kotdwara where BEL facilities are not available will also receive an additional area allowance.
Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The selection process will be conducted through a written examination scheduled for January 25, 2026 at BEL Kotdwara. The test will consist of 100 questions including technical and general aptitude sections, to be completed within 90 minutes. Each correct answer carries one mark, while each incorrect answer results in a 0.25 negative mark. The minimum qualifying marks are 35% for General, EWS, and OBC candidates and 30% for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates. Successful candidates will then be called for document verification.

The online pre-registration process begins on January 1, 2026, and the last date to apply is January 15, 2026. Only candidates who complete online registration will be permitted to appear for the written test on January 25, 2026.
