New Delhi, June 2, 2026: The Public Enterprises Selection Board has issued advertisements inviting applications for two high-profile board-level positions at leading Maharatna public sector enterprises: Director (Power) at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and Director (Refineries) at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.

Both positions carry the Schedule 'A' pay scale of ₹1,80,000–₹3,40,000 (IDA) and offer an opportunity to lead critical business verticals in two of India's largest state-owned enterprises.

 

BHEL Seeks Director (Power) to Lead Core Power Business

The Director (Power) position at BHEL will become vacant on March 1, 2027. The selected executive will be responsible for overseeing the company's entire power sector business, including marketing, project execution, and delivery of end-to-end solutions for large-scale power projects.

Key Eligibility Criteria

  • Engineering Graduate from a recognized university or institute.

  • MBA or PGDM qualification desirable.

  • Minimum five years of cumulative experience in the power sector during the last ten years.

  • Experience in execution of power projects will be preferred.

Key Eligibility Criteria

  • Engineering Graduate from a recognized institution.

  • Preference for Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering graduates.

  • MBA/PGDM qualification desirable.

  • Minimum five years' experience in the petroleum refining sector during the last ten years.

  • Petrochemical industry experience will be an added advantage.

Applications are invited from:

  • Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs)

  • Group 'A' Central Government officers

  • Officers from Public Sector Banks and Financial Institutions

  • State Public Sector Enterprises

  • Eligible private sector companies with annual turnover exceeding ₹10,000 crore

  • Joint Ventures and Cooperative Federations meeting prescribed criteria

Applicants must hold board-level or immediately below board-level positions, depending on their sector and category.

  • Online Application Deadline: June 22, 2026 (3:00 PM)

  • Forwarding of Applications by Nodal Authorities: July 1, 2026 (5:00 PM)

Applications must be submitted through the prescribed process on the PESB portal.
