GMRC Invites Applications for Chief General Manager and General Manager (Signaling) Posts; Apply by June 26

Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRC), a 50:50 joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat, has announced recruitment for the post of Chief General Manager/General Manager (Signaling) on a contract, deputation, or post-superannuation basis.

The appointment will initially be for a period of three years, extendable up to five years based on performance and organizational requirements.

Educational Qualification and Experience

Candidates should possess a graduate engineering degree in:

• Electrical Engineering

• Electrical & Electronics

• Electronics & Communication

• Applied Electronics

• Power Electronics

• Industrial Electronics

• Instrumentation & Control

Applicants must have significant experience in:

• Signaling and Platform Screen Door (PSD) systems

• Planning and contract administration

• Installation, testing and commissioning

• Railway systems, Metro Rail, LRT, RRTS and suburban rail networks

For CGM level, candidates are required to have up to 20 years or more of executive experience, while GM level applicants should possess a minimum of 17 years of post-qualification experience.

Salary and Age Criteria

Contract Basis

• IDA Pay Scale: ₹1,20,000 – ₹2,80,000

Post-Superannuation Basis

• Consolidated Pay: ₹1.70 lakh per month

Maximum Age Limit

• Contract: 57 years

• Deputation: 58 years

• Post-Superannuation: 62 years

Candidates from the private sector should have a minimum monthly CTC of ₹2.50 lakh.

Preference for Gujarat Experience

GMRC stated that preference will be given to candidates who:

• Have worked in Gujarat for at least three years

• Are conversant with the Gujarati language

• Possess experience in the same grade or immediate lower grade
