Hindustan Copper CMD Sanjiv Kumar Singh Honoured with Bhaskar Bhattacharjee Memorial Award
New Delhi: Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has announced that its Chairman and Managing Director, Shri Sanjiv Kumar Singh, has been conferred with the prestigious Bhaskar Bhattacharjee Memorial Award by IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. The award was presented on February 8, 2026, during Basant ’26, the institute’s flagship annual event.
The honour recognizes Shri Singh’s outstanding leadership and contribution to India’s mining and metals sector, particularly in advancing smart mining practices, critical minerals development, and green energy integration.
As part of the event, Shri Sanjiv Kumar Singh addressed a distinguished audience of industry leaders, policymakers, and academic partners at the Industry–Institute Interaction (III-2026) Conclave, themed “Smart Mining, Critical Minerals and Green Energy.” His address highlighted the evolving role of technology, sustainability, and academia–industry collaboration in shaping the future of India’s resource security.
Hindustan Copper Limited stated that the disclosure is being made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and has been submitted to both BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd for information and record.
HCL, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Mines, continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening India’s self-reliance in copper and critical minerals, aligned with the country’s long-term energy transition and infrastructure goals.
