Bank of Baroda & NSDL Database Partner for Government Agency Banking in Bihar
Bank of Baroda (BoB) has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NSDL Database Management Limited (NDML) to provide comprehensive technical and banking support for the Agency Bank operations of the Office of the Registrar General, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, in the state of Bihar.
Key Details of the Partnership
The partnership was formalized in a meeting attended by senior officials from both organizations. Representing Bank of Baroda were Shri Subrat Swain, General Manager and Zonal Head (Patna Zone), along with other senior executives including Shri Baljeet Singh, Deputy General Manager (Government Relationship). NDML was represented by Shri Sameer Gupte, Managing Director & CEO, and Shri Hamid Arif, Head – Business.
Roles and Responsibilities
Under this agreement, the roles are clearly defined:

NDML will act as the Technical Service Provider, supplying the essential technology platform required for the operations.

Bank of Baroda will handle the banking and financial operations, including the collection of receipts and the remittance of funds to the Reserve Bank of India.
