Central Bank of India Announces Key Promotions in Senior Management
Mumbai, April 1, 2026: Central Bank of India has announced significant changes in its senior management cadre, effective April 1, 2026, aimed at strengthening leadership across key departments and regional zones.
As per the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the following officers have been promoted:
Chief General Manager Appointments:
- Shri Sohail Ahmad – formerly General Manager, Emerging Business & Cent Pragati Department.
- Shri Kushal Pal – formerly General Manager, Human Capital Management & Board Secretariat.
- Smt Kavita Thakur – formerly Chief Compliance Officer.
General Manager Promotions:

These promotions recognize over 13 to 35 years of exemplary service across banking functions including compliance, human capital, MSME, recovery, and zonal management. The appointments are aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and governance across the bank’s national network.
