New Delhi, June 12, 2026: Central Bank of India has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Drawing and Disbursing Office (DAO) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to provide salary account services to the ministry's regular employees across its offices nationwide.

The agreement was formally signed on June 12, 2026, marking a significant collaboration between the public sector lender and the Ministry of Home Affairs. Under the arrangement, Central Bank of India will facilitate the opening and management of salary accounts for MHA employees across India.

The MoU was executed by Dr. Ajay Shankar Singh, ICAS, Principal Chief Controller of Accounts, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Shri Tarsem Singh Zira, Zonal Head-Delhi, Central Bank of India.

The signing ceremony was attended by Shri Narinder Pal Singh, ICAS, Controller of Accounts, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Shri Vikash Purbey, Deputy General Manager and In-charge, Central Bank of India, along with officials and staff members from both organizations.

The partnership is expected to strengthen banking services for Ministry of Home Affairs personnel by providing seamless salary account facilities and enhancing the bank's relationship with one of the country's key government ministries.

The development further reinforces Central Bank of India's focus on expanding its government business portfolio and deepening engagement with central government institutions through customized banking solutions.
