Mumbai: Indian Bank convened the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) meeting for the Union Territory of Puducherry, where the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) 2026–27 was formally released.

The event was held in the virtual presence of senior government and banking officials, including:

  • Shri Ashish Madhaorao More, I.A.S (Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India)

  • Shri Krishna Mohan Uppu, I.A.S (Secretary – Finance, UT of Puducherry)

  • Shri Shiv Bajrang Singh (Executive Director, Indian Bank and Chairman of SLBC, Puducherry)

Senior executives from the banking sector also participated in the proceedings.

Focus on Credit Expansion and Financial Planning

The newly released Annual Credit Plan 2026–27 aims to strengthen priority sector lending and improve credit flow across key economic segments in Puducherry, supporting inclusive regional development and financial stability.

 

 

MoU Signed for RSETI Land Allotment

A key highlight of the event was the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for land allotment to the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) in Puducherry.

  • Strengthen financial inclusion through training and capacity building
