NHPC Signs MoA for 3097 MW Etalin HEP in Arunachal Pradesh
New Delhi: NHPC Limited has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Government of Arunachal Pradesh for the development of the Etalin Hydroelectric Project (HEP) with an installed capacity of 3097 MW, marking one of the largest proposed hydroelectric developments in India.
The agreement was executed on 16 June 2026, enabling NHPC to undertake preliminary investigations, detailed feasibility studies, and full-scale project development activities.
