BEL Recruitment 2026: Bharat Electronics Invites Applications for Project Engineer-I Posts; Apply by July 4
New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited has released a recruitment notification for the engagement of Project Engineer-I personnel on a temporary basis for its Naval Systems (S&CS) Strategic Business Unit. The online application process commenced on June 17, 2026, and the last date to apply is July 4, 2026.
The vacancies are spread across locations including New Delhi, Gurugram, Gandhinagar, Visakhapatnam, Kolkata, Kochi, Chennai, Port Blair and Mumbai.

BEL has announced a total of nine vacancies under two categories:

PRE-I (SSI-2026): 5 posts
-
PRE-I (TSCS-2026): 4 posts
Reservation of posts will be in accordance with Government guidelines, with 4% reservation earmarked for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a full-time B.E./B.Tech degree in relevant disciplines such as:

Experience Requirement
Applicants should have a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience as of June 1, 2026.
For PRE-I (SSI-2026), experience in installation and commissioning of electronic or electrical systems is required. Preference will be given to candidates having exposure to:

RHEL operating systems

Server storage

Voice and video networking
For PRE-I (TSCS-2026), candidates should have experience in installation and commissioning of electronics or electrical systems and integration of electronic or embedded systems.
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 32 years as on June 1, 2026 for General and EWS candidates.
Age relaxation is applicable as follows:

OBC: 3 years

SC/ST: 5 years

PwBD candidates: Additional 10 years
Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will be engaged initially for three years, extendable by one year based on project requirements and performance.
Consolidated Monthly Remuneration
-
First Year: ₹40,000
-
Second Year: ₹45,000
-
Third Year: ₹50,000
-
Fourth Year (if extended): ₹55,000
In addition, candidates will receive:

Annual reimbursement of ₹12,000 towards medical insurance, life insurance and other allowances.

Retention bonus of ₹25,000 for each completed year, payable after completion of four years, amounting to ₹1 lakh.
Selection Process
The selection process comprises:

Written Test – 85 marks

Interview – 15 marks
Candidates qualifying the written examination will be shortlisted for interviews in the ratio of 1:5 based on vacancies.
Minimum qualifying marks:

General/EWS/OBC: 35%

SC/ST/PwBD: 30%
