Punjab & Sind Bank awards major order to Dynacons System for On-Premises Private Cloud Infrastructure solution
Public sector lender, Punjab and Sind Bank has significantly awarded a major Private cloud order to IT Infrastructure firm, Dynacons Systems & Solutions Ltd.
The Company has secured a prestigious project by Punjab & Sind Bank for the On-Premises Private Cloud Infrastructure solution for a period of five years, valued at Rs 108.88 Crores.
The significant order win will expand portfolio of Private Cloud deployments, underlining the Company’s strong capabilities in delivering secure, scalable, and future-ready cloud solutions for mission-critical environments.
Punjab & Sind Bank, one of India’s prominent nationalized banks, has established a robust presence across the country with 1,610 branches and 28 Zonal Offices, catering to customers in both urban and rural markets.
The Bank has consistently been at the forefront of adopting technology-driven initiatives to enhance customer convenience, operational efficiency, and inter-branch connectivity.
Under the scope of the project, Dynacons will be responsible for the design, supply,
implementation and ongoing management of the required IT infrastructure, system software and cloud services to deploy and host the Bank’s applications across DC-DR environments.
The solution will provide a scalable and secure Private Cloud platform with automated scale-in and scale-out capabilities and centralized management, ensuring long-term flexibility and technology independence.
The solution will further enable the Bank to dynamically add or reduce cloud resources on demand through a centralized, user-friendly management dashboard, thereby enhancing agility, scalability, and operational efficiency.
The Private Cloud solution, based on technologies from leading global OEMs such as Dell, VMware, Red Hat and Microsoft, includes server virtualization hypervisor, compute servers, SAN switches and object storage, private cloud management and orchestration, infrastructure and network monitoring, virtual load balancing (L4 and L7), software-defined networking, software-defined firewall with micro-segmentation, advanced threat prevention and zero-trust security, DC-DR replication software, container platform, Windows and Linux operating systems, backup and recovery solution, upgrade of existing VMware-based infrastructure and SAN storage, migration of existing servers to the Private Cloud platform (P2V and V2V), and onsite manpower support.
