Raja B S takes charge as Chief Operating Officer of Karnataka Bank
Mr. Raja B. S. joined the Karnataka Bank as a Probationary Officer on 17-07-1990.
Mangalore, 6 September 2025: Private sector lender Karnataka Bank Ltd. has appointed Mr. Raja B. S. as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Bank in the rank of Chief General Manager (CGM) for a period of two years on a contract basis with effect from 04.09.2025.
Mr. Raja B. S. joined the Karnataka Bank as a Probationary Officer on 17-07-1990. He has worked as a branch head (scale I, II, and III) at Hindupur, Turuvekere, Kakinada, Tadapatri, Vishakapatnam, etc. He was the Chief Manager (Scale IV) at the HO-Vigilance Department and the HO-HR and IR Department.
He was the regional head (scale V and VI) at ROHyderabad and RO-Bengaluru. He was the Department Head (Scale VI) at the Planning and Development Department, New Business Department, Transformation Cell, Credit Sales Department (Large and Mid-Corp), etc. He was promoted to General Manager (Scale VII) cadre on 29-03-2021.

As GM, he handled the portfolios of the Branch Banking Department, the HR and IR Department (CLO role), the Credit Marketing Department, the Legal and Recovery Department, the Inspection and Audit (HIA role), the IS Audit Department, and the Operations Department.
He was the general manager in charge of the Branch Banking Department (w.e.f. 01-03-2025 until 03-09-2025) and the Operations Department (additional charge w.e.f. 05-08-2025 until 03-09-2025). He opted for voluntary retirement from the services of the bank on 03-09-2025.
