ACC approves three officials to the post of Deputy Secretary in three major Ministry
The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of three officers—Ms. Harleen Kaur, Shri Surendra Choudhary, and Shri Johny Tom Varghese—as Deputy Secretaries under the Central Staffing Scheme in key ministries. Their tenure will last four years or until further orders.
The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of three higher officials to the post of Deputy Secretary in different categories of ministries.
Ms. Harleen Kaur, IAS (AGMUT: 2012), who was recommended for Central deputation by the M/o Home Affairs has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the M/o Road Transport & Highways, Delhi under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Shri Surendra Choudhary, IPS (AGMUT: 2013), has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Delhi under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders.
Lastly, Shri Johny Tom Varghese, IAS (TN: 2014) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Mines, Delhi under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.
