Alok Mishra gets extension as additional charge of Director General in DGFASLI
He is serving as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, and his tenure has started for a period of six months w.e.f. 06.08.2025 or till the appointment of a regular incumbent, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
New Delhi, 25 September 2025: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Labour and Employment for the extension of the entrustment of the additional charge of the post of Director General, Directorate General of Factory Advice Service and Labour Institute (DGFASLI), to Shri Alok Mishra, an Indian Information Service officer of 1998 batch.
He is serving as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, and his tenure has started for a period of six months w.e.f. 06.08.2025 or till the appointment of a regular incumbent, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
Shri Alok Mishra is a civil servant (Indian Information Service officer) with over 25 years of experience across public policy formulation and implementation in social security, labor laws, employment and education, academics, monitoring and evaluation, capacity development, industry-academia collaboration, international cooperation, and media and communication.
