Shares of NTPC Ltd. have witnessed a marginal fall of 2.13% in the current trading sessions following the successful commissioning of 167 MW of NTPC’s Nokh Solar PV Project in Rajasthan. With consequent successful commissioning, 167 MW out of 245 MW capacity at Plot-1 of NTPC's Nokh Solar PV Project (3x245 MW), Rajasthan, is declared on commercial operation w.e.f. 00:00 Hrs. of 26.09.2025.
With this, the total installed and commercial capacity of NTPC on a standalone and group basis will now become 60,705 MW & 83,863 MW, respectively, the exchange filing stated.
The NTPC Nokh Solar Project is located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, and is a solar power initiative by the NTPC Group. The project's Plot-3 has a total capacity of 245 MW, with 193 MW starting commercial operations on June 9, 2025, and the remaining 52 MW on June 22, 2025, making the plot fully operational. The project is part of NTPC's goal to expand its renewable energy capacity and support India's clean energy transition.
